Privacy notice
How we handle the information you send us, in plain English.
This notice explains what happens to personal information you send to NO ORDINARY GUARD (“we”, “us”) through this website or by email. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
What we collect
- What you type into the enquiry form — typically your name, company, email address, phone number and the details of what you need.
- Anything you send us by email, including attachments.
- Nothing else. This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and no advertising trackers, and does not profile visitors.
How the enquiry form works
The form on this website does not send your details to a server of ours. It opens your own email application with the information filled in, so the enquiry reaches us as an ordinary email from your own account. If you do not send that email, we never receive the information.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and, if you ask us to, to quote for and provide security services.
- To keep records of work we carry out, including incident and assignment reporting.
- To meet legal, licensing, insurance and accounting obligations that apply to a security business.
Our lawful bases for handling your information are your consent (when you send us an enquiry), the performance of a contract (when we provide services to you) and our legitimate interests in running a security business, alongside our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for marketing. We share it only where it is necessary — for example with officers assigned to your task, with our own professional advisers, with insurers, or with the police or a regulator where we are required or entitled to do so. Where we use a supplier (for example email hosting or accounting), they act on our instructions and under contract.
Sensitive information
Security work can involve sensitive details. Please send us only what is needed to answer your enquiry. If a conversation requires more, we will arrange a more suitable way to hold it, and we keep that information restricted to the people who need it for the task.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Client and assignment records: for as long as we provide services, then for the period required for tax, insurance and licensing purposes (typically up to 7 years).
- Incident reports: kept while the matter is live and for the period our insurers and the law require.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict or object to how we use it, and ask for it in a portable form. You can withdraw consent to marketing at any time (we do not send marketing). To make a request, email Info@noordinaryguard.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first.
Security
We take reasonable steps to keep information secure, including restricting access to those who need it for a task and using protected devices and accounts. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send information you would not be comfortable sending by email.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies and uses no tracking. There is nothing to accept, and no banner, because there is nothing to consent to.
Changes and contact
If this notice changes, the new version will appear on this page. Questions about privacy, or about anything on this site, can be sent to Info@noordinaryguard.com.
